Increase Local Traffic Podcast Episode #1 - How To Use Flipboard Magazines To Promote Your Business

Why You Must Use Online Video For Your Business

by MEGAN MACEDO

If you’re like most business owners, the thought of doing video makes you nervous.

That’s ok, it means you’re human!

I’m going to talk about it anyway for one reason: EVERY business owner I’ve worked with over the past year who has achieved big results fast, has done it using online video.

One site we built went from zero to £180,000 in sales in the first 4 months. The key? Online video.

I talk a lot to business owners about using online video and many are reluctant to do it because they think it’s difficult to do, time consuming and you need expensive equipment to do it. None of this is true so keep reading!

You might still think that online video is quite new and while it might be nice to use it, it’s not essential. I hear that a lot too, and it couldn’t be further from the truth. Every single minute, 60 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube so video is not new!

Truth Bomb time: If you want to succeed online, video is essential.

Click play on the video to hear more about the 5 reasons why video is essential to generating leads and sales online:

REASONS WHY VIDEO IS ESSENTIAL TO GENERATING LEADS AND SALES ONLINE

1. Attention

Video grabs attention like nothing else. While people generally won’t read everything you’ve written on a web page, they are very likely to click play on a video if there’s one on the page.

2. Communication

Video is the next best thing to talking to your prospect one to one. It allows you to convey emotion and personality. You can connect with the viewer through video and it lets them feel a more personal connection with you. They’ll almost feel like they’ve met you… and you can have this running automatically for every single person who visits your site.

3. Multiple Modalities

We all have different learning styles and absorb information in different ways. Some people learn best through particular modalities, e.g. some people learn best by reading text, others absorb the message best if they hear it or if they see a visual representation. Using video allows you to hit multiple modalities so that 100% of your audience really ‘hears’ what you’re saying, regardless of their learning style.

4. Instant Expert Factor

Using video immediately sets you apart from the competition and elevates you to expert status. By talking about your field in online videos, you are positioning yourself as an authority. We are so conditioned to look up to people who are on screen, make a few videos and you’ll soon be a celebrity in your industry!

5. SEO

According to a study by Forrester Research, it is 50 times easier to get a video to rank on the first page of Google than it is to get a standard web page to rank on page one. I always teach and recommend ‘Leverged SEO‘ rather than SEO for SEO’s sake, and optimising your online videos is a perfect opportunity to leverage your marketing activites for an organic search boost. The easiest way to get started is to upload your video to YouTube and be sure to use relevant keywords in the video filename (before you upload it), the video title, description and tags.

4 WAYS TO USE VIDEO ON YOUR SITE

There are lots of ways you can use video on your site to improve your marketing, connect better with your customers and get more leads and sales. The main ways you can use video on your website to improve your marketing results are:

1. Video as Regular Content

This is where a video is available to watch on your web page without any registration or sign up required. You can use video like this to connect better with your audience and make sure they really ‘get’ your message.

2. Video as a Lead Capture Offer

This is where you make a video that a website visitor can only view after they give you their details (usually their email address). A lead capture offer is something that you offer to give your website visitors in exchange for their details.

E.g. You’ve probably seen restaurants or other businesses offering you a free discount voucher if you give them your name and email address. Once you have a visitor’s email address or other contact details you then have a lead you can follow up with.

Lead capture offers don’t have to be discounts, in fact, I usually recommend that you avoid giving discounts like the plague! A video packed with useful information is a great lead capture offer.

E.g. If you design and sell kitchens, then your website visitors are likely to happily give you their email address if you offer them a video that tells them ‘the 3 common mistakes that people make when buying a new kitchen and how to avoid them’.

3. Video Squeeze Page

This is where you use a short video to tell prospects to sign up to receive something – e.g. “Hi, I’m Jim from A1 Kitchen Designs, I’ve put together a free report that tells you the 3 common mistakes that people make when buying a new kitchen and how to avoid them. Put your name and email address in the box next to this video and I’ll send you the free report straight away.”

It’s called a video ‘squeeze page’ because it’s designed to ‘squeeze’ out some contact details before you provide something of value to your visitor.

4. Reverse Squeeze Page

This is where you give away some free content immediately in a video and then tell people to sign up for part two of the video. E.g. Let’s stick with our “3 common mistakes people make when buying a new kitchen and how to avoid them”. In this case video 1 would include:

- an introduction that articulates the visitor’s problem (they need a new kitchen),

- why a solution is so important (it’s pretty devastating to fork out thousands of pounds on a kitchen that you end up hating after 2 weeks of using it), and

- the first common mistake people make when buying a new kitchen.

You would then ask them to enter their email address to get access to the second part of the video, which would cover the remaining mistake 2 and 3 and how to avoid them. The second part of the video would end with a conclusion where you ask the viewer to take some action (contact you, book a consultation etc).

MO’ VIDEO, MO’ MONEY

The more you use video the more you get access to all the benefits we talked about at the beginning of this article…and the more leads, sales and money you get.

It’s also important to note that even a video that contains no useful content as such, and just gives instructions for what the viewer should do next (leave their email address to receive something), still has many of the benefits of creating a personal interaction with your potential customers.

Using (and testing) a combination of the ways you can use video allows you to get the benefits and capture leads at the same time.

As a general rule we also stick to a limit of one video per page, otherwise it can get overwhelming for the visitor and makes them less likely to play any of the videos. With only one video on the page there is no question about what is the most important one to watch.

YOUR VIDEO CHALLENGE

Abraham Maslow said “You will either step forward into growth, or you will step back into safety” so let’s take the bull by the horns and get yourself some business growth this week!

Your challenge is to make a short video and get it in front of your leads and customers within the next 7 days.

Here is your action list:

1. Make a 2 minute video using a webcam, smartphone, iPad, or video camera (basically ANYTHING you can get your hands on that records video).

Don’t worry about making it super high quality, just get going! In your video talk about an offer you’re doing, a product or service that your customers may not know you do, or just answer a common question or problem you hear from your customers.

2. Make sure that there is a clear and strong call to action at the end of your video.

Tell your viewers exactly what to do next – e.g. “send me an email with the word “video” in the subject line to get more info on the offer”, or “call my office before Friday and ask to speak to Jane to get a free trial of this new service” etc. If you don’t tell people EXACTLY what to do next, chances are they’ll do nothing.

3. Upload your video to YouTube.

It couldn’t be easier to use YouTube these days – log in or create an account, click the ‘upload’ button and away you go.

4. Embed your YouTube video on your website if you can.

If you are able to edit your website and create new pages then click the ‘share’ link below your video on YouTube and then click ‘embed’ to get the code to paste into your website. If you can’t do this, don’t worry, you can just send your customers a link to the YouTube page (and then come talk to me because being able to edit and update your website easily is a MUST for online success).

5. Send an email to your customers and leads to let them know you’ve made a video for them.

Have a bit of fun with the email, write it like you’re writing to a friend, no one needs another boring corporate style email in their lives! And don’t overcomplicate it, the purpose of your email is to get them to click the link to watch the video, nothing else.

6. Tell me about it!

Email me at megan [at] twiggal.com with “Challenge Complete!” in the subject line or come back here and leave a comment to let me know what you did, what your video was about and what feedback or results you got.

Over To You (and that pesky brain of yours)

Commit right now to growing your business and your sales this week. We all have lots of things we intend to do but actually following through and making them happen can be a different story. Here’s a little psychological trick I like to use on myself:

If we tell another person that we’re going to do something, our brain kicks into ‘oh shit, I better actually make this happen!‘ mode and we’re much more likely to make the magic happen in our business.

So give your brain the motivation and accountability it needs by leaving a comment below telling me what you’re going to make your video about – an offer, a product or service, a common question you hear from customers… what’s it gonna be?

8 Steps to Social Media Sales

Like any social experience or business interaction, engaging prospects and customers with social media is a process.

Unfortunately, most fail at this with inauthentic, boring messaging.

Worse, they don’t have a system to follow that consistently produces profitable results.

I wanted to give you a simple 8-part, step-by-step a template you can use right now that will greatly support the sales process and increase and improve the level of connection and value you provide to the social media experience to both your prospects and customers.

I think it also boosts long-term brand equity – the thing that makes you and your products really valuable.

There are eight basic steps to this system.

Watch the video for a complete step-by-step description of how it works and if you’d like to see a real-life example, visit Top Gun Toolkit and check out the social sharing that’s taking place.

Here are the eight steps:

  1. Acknowledge your visitor’s action and participation

  2. Engage with a question and broaden the scope of the comment or question to engage the entire viewing audience

  3. Reinforce the question, challenge or pain to the audience with examples that are designed to speak to the individual, but also to everyone reading

  4. Connect – with feelings and heart – this is ultimately WHY YOUR PROSPECTS and CUSTOMERS BUY because they feel that you actually care about them. Other engaged readers are going to say to themselves, “man, if they give this kind of information and attention away during a free promotion or launch, imagine what it must be like to own one of their products!”

  5. Pre-frame – that is where you reveal that something else is coming up in another video, post or content element. The message to an engaged prospect is essentially “NEW, COMING SOON” – but it a way that pre-seeds the sale of your product or service. Again, this must be done by providing value with training and examples

  6. Curiosity Cliffhanger – add curiosity and an “open loop” – create a reason to make your audience want to return because something is MISSING from your story. You do this by asking questions that help them arrive at a conclusion that there is more to this story and you’re going to provide in the next post or episode.

  7. Request – your engaged socialites to implement. Acknowledge their participation and thank them again, asking them to come back after taking some sort of action – showing that you’re all about IMPLEMENTING and giving them the power to take matters into their own hands to get results. Let them know you’re here to provide the tools, resources and services to get the results they want and need quickly and easily.

  8. Invite – every one of your readers to comment and request to ask them to like and share the post, page or conversation with their friends and people who could benefit from your content, resources and tools. Going viral is a very good thing. Free traffic and leads keep your costs down and your sales high!

When you respond and engage with your audience, make your best effort to think about how you can reuse this information and content for training, education, presentation or marketing purposes.

Four Rules for Telling an Effective Video Story

Video content is a crucial part of your brand’s strategy. In addition to the search benefits (YouTube is the world’s #2 search engine), the medium offers a powerful way to tell your story and drive action.

To ensure your video content sticks in prospects’ minds and drives action, follow these four key rules.

1

Make It Emotional

People engage most with video stories that connect emotionally. For example, Dove has garnered upwards of 54 million views on YouTube with its now-famous “Real Beauty Sketches” - a great example of a brand story with a valid emotional angle.

Need to showcase a feature-heavy product? You can still create a video that delights.

2

Kid-Proof Your Message

Your script should be simple and clear enough for a six-year-old to understand. Play to video’s strength and rely on visuals – not fancy words – to get your point across. For product videos especially, use simple, short voiceover whenever possible.

3

Instruct Action

Effective videos incite the viewer to take action. Your video should include a single, clear call to action. Invite viewers to do one thing – it could be sharing via email, tweeting, posting to Facebook or visiting your website. Clear action should be the overarching goal of your video content. Viewbix lets you add interactive apps to your videos that engage viewers and drive calls to action.

4

Pick Something and Stick With It

Pick one message and stick with it. When script revisions and edits pass through the hands of multiple stakeholders, you face the danger of additional “bonus” messaging appearing. Don’t let this happen. Watered down, rambling messages are a video killer.

Telling great stories over video really boils down to simplicity and authenticity. Maintain a clear goal of delivering content that entertains and helps, and keep your message and calls to action straightforward.

Increase Local Traffic Podcast Episode #1 - How To Use Flipboard Magazines To Promote Your Business

How To Use Flipboard Magazines To Promote Your Business

This article is from - September 27, 2013 by Kim Reynolds 2 Comments
Have you heard of Flipboard, but your are not quite sure what it is? Have you wondered how you can use Flipboard to promote your business? Well, keep reading! We are going to show you how to leverage the app named Apple’s iPad App of the Year in 2010 and has only gotten better since.
Flipboard Magazine
Flipboard has been described as many things: A social-network aggregation, magazine-format application software (Mashable), an app that aggregates news and other content and presents it in a personalized magazine-like format (NY Times), and even a really cool app that you can use to make your own magazines (me).

About Flipboard

According to Flipboard, “it is your personal magazine, filled with the things you care about. Catch up on the news, discover amazing things from around the world, or stay connected to the people closest to you–all in one place”.
Flipboard does this by aggregating information from your social feeds, rss feeds, and other partner websites and then presents it to you on your mobile device. The content is delivered in a magazine format that you can literally “flip” with your finger. It has an uncanny ability to make even the most trivial status image look exciting.

Flipboard Magazines

Recently, Flipboard has given its users the ability to create their own magazines. Magazines are awesome because they not only allow you to curate content by topic, they also allow you to share that content in a beautiful magazine format.
Some of the great features of Flipboard Magazines:
  • Magazines can be public or private. Private magazines are a great way to curate content for future marketing efforts, competitor data, etc.
  • You can curate multiple magazines. Here are all of mine: https://flipboard.com/profile/qrkim
  • You can flip content from around the web with the Flipboard bookmarklet, Chrome extension. This means that you are not limited to curating content only form the Flipboard app.
  • You can use the share menu on your mobile device to flip content into your magazines, as long as you have the app installed.
  • You can flip magazines into other magazines. Here is one example: I followed some of the best social media magazines by topic, such as Facebook, Google+, Twitter, and then flipped them all into my own magazine called the Social Media Marketing Resource Book. Think of it like each magazine is a chapter in a book.
  • You can manage your magazines from the Flipboard app or from the Flipboard editor, a web-based editor.
  • The Flipboard Editor is your magazine dashboard. You can choose the cover image for your magazine, set/edit the magazine title and description, arrange the order of the items you have added and even remove content you no longer want.
  • You can easily share your magazines from the Editor, using Facebook, Twitter and email.
  • You can change the order of your magazine items. By default, Flipboard orders them in reverse-chronological order, but you can rearrange the order. This is really handy if you are using a magazine as a sort of online story book, for instance to chronicle the growth of your business or the progression of a special project.

Combining Social Media and Video Marketing - Online Marketing Utah

social media and video icons

Combining Social Media and Video Marketing

0

September 27th, 2013, In Best Practices, Uncategorized, Video Marketing Tips, by SoMedia Networks+

Social media and video are two leading digital marketing tactics that marketers are turning to frequently. Not only are social media and video marketing offering real value in terms of visibility and engagement, but they are also increasing traffic and conversions. Combined, social media and business video drive the success of marketing campaigns. Businesses should no longer wonder about their effectiveness, but rather begin implementing both of them into their marketing strategies.

Social Media in the Spotlight

As evidence, consider these statistics from HubSpot: facebook logo

  • Social media gets nearly double the number of leads compared to direct mail, PPC or trade shows.

  • Facebook brand posts reach half of their total audience within 30 minutes of posting.

  • 43% of marketers found a customer via LinkedIn in 2013, while 36% found customers on Twitter.

  • When buying products, about 46% of online users turn to social media in the decision-making process.

Video Content Soars

Now, consider the value of video:

  • According to Dr. James McQuivey of Forrester Research, one minute of video is equivalent to 1.8 million words. In other words, video quickly conveys a message.

  • comScore reports that 45.5% of viewers watched at least one video in the average month, and they were exposed to 32.2 videos on average each month. That means that marketers who implement business video can expect that their videos will be seen.

  • Online Publishers Association reported that of the 80% of internet users that view videos each month, 46% take action afterwards. Namely, 26% of viewers searched for more information, 22% clicked-through to the brand’s website, and 12% proceeded to purchase the featured product.

Combined Power

With social media and video marketing platforms faring well, marketers should hone in on consumer usage patterns to strategize their campaigns: social media and video at our fingertips

  • Every minute, 700 videos from YouTube are shared via Twitter. Consumers share videos on the platform to start conversations within their communities. Marketers that optimize their videos for sharing on Twitter can target an audience that’s ripe for video-viewing.

  • Consumers turn to social media channels to share news, too. A Nielsen Media Research survey shows that news accounts for 65% to 70% of all content shared via social media platforms. Marketers can use professionally-produced video news releases to increase brand awareness for their clients, combining the power of social media channels with news videos.

  • A video marketing campaign employed on social media platforms puts considerable power in the hands of marketers, with 46% of consumers worldwide turning to social media when making a purchase decision, and nearly half of video watchers taking action based on what they watch.

  • Video campaigns on social platforms target consumers where they spend their time, and where market research estimates they will continue to do so. eMarketer reports that one in four people around the world will use social media channels in 2013. That’s an increase of 18% from 2012, reaching 1.73 billion users. By 2017, that number is expected to climb to 2.55 billion. Marketers that employ video tactics on active social media channels can potentially target a vast audience.

Insight for Marketers

Today, most brands successfully employ social media marketing to expand their businesses. Including video marketing into the mix can further drive engagement, social sharing and ROI. Ultimately, these strategies allow marketers to deliver relevant, share-able content that consumers are searching for. Will your business employ these tactics to gain a competitive edge?

Massage Therapy Job Salt Lake City Utah

About Zen Massage

Partner with us!

Take it from us: Nothing is quite as fulfilling and rewarding as having your own business and seeing it grow. But the challenges and uncertainties of starting one can be pretty scary. ZEN is a successful, service-driven company which has been growing since 2006. We know what it takes to get here and we can help you to do the same!

The spa industry is famous for high employee turn-over, and nowhere is this more true than massage therapy. Working long hours for a low wage, being under constant supervision, dealing with difficult clients, and having little opportunity to grow or advance your career is what awaits most therapists in the corporate industry of massage. The few fortunate enough to establish their own practice early in their carreer and see it grow and thrive are the ones who will still be doing massage 2 years from now.

Work on our clientelle while building your own!

  • We help you get established as an independent provider.

  • We offer luxurious, safe and well equipped studios to work in.

  • Work under your own business name. Set your own prices, rates, specials and schedule.

  • Have access to our top-of-the-line office tools and booking system.

  • Get client referrals directly from Zen to start earning immediately!

The biggest fear of starting your own business is the uncertainty of steady client traffic. The effort of advertising, and establishing clientelle is enough to put your dreams on hold until you can cover the startup costs. We can help!

Zen Massage has a great industry presense, strong marketing and advertising vectors, a quality brand and a huge and loyal customer base. There are plenty of independent therapists who would love to get their hands on our clients, but as a partner, if you have the skills and provide quality and value, you will, literally, get your hands on our amazing clientelle. We refer them to you, and the happier our customers, the more of them you will have the option to massage!

And as you work on our clients, you will also be establishing your independent practice with much less risk and worry than going at it alone.

Why don't you just hire me?

We've been obsessed with massage since 2006. We've seen many great therapists come and go. Many lose interest; for others, life gets in the way; and some just burn out. There is one constant for the therapists who succeed and thrive: They have a genuine stake in what they do. They are willing to commit, to risk, and to wait for the rewards. These therapists have passion, they believe in themselves, have high standards, and are professional and reliable. They crave the freedom to practice without oppressive corporate policy or meddlesome management. They are naturally independent because they are confident, intelligent and ambitious.

Those are the people we want to work with. Those are the therapists our prestigeous and priceless clients want and deserve. These therapists have a true future in the industry and they are the ones who will soar above the corporate grind and find true fulfillment in what they do; they will find their ZEN.

If you are or want to be among them, we are kindred spirits.

RSVP is the Weapon Of Choice:

  • R: Risk. The willingess to bet on yourself.

  • S: Struggle. The dedication to work hard and not give up.

  • V: Victory. Achieving your goals and setting bigger ones.

  • P: Prosperity. Being in harmony with what you do and getting true joy from doing it. (ZEN)

Am I a fit for ZEN?

What we look for in a partner is professionalism, reliability, wisdom, compassion, and a strong commitment to the mastery of massage. You make people feel better for a living. You are professional feel-betterers. Does it lift your spirit when you take another's pain away? Do you look forward to seeing your clients again and again? Would you be willing to come in and work on someone when they are hurting, even when you're closed? Do you still enjoy what you do and want to improve and share it with the world?

If you honestly answered yes to all of the above, not only are YOU a good fit for ZEN, but you won't find a place that is better for you to practice and thrive.

If you are a therapist ready to take on the world and want to do it with us, please let us know.

Interested? Have questions? Want to meet and talk? Call (801)-GO-RELAX, email practice@zenmassage.net, or click the button below.

Mobile Marketing Magic: Making the Most of the Hot New Trend by Penny C. Sansevieri

The term "mobile" tends to confuse a lot of business owners. Questions pop up like "Do I really need it?", "Is my site mobile ready?" and, "What do consumers expect from mobile?" Deciding to go mobile is, for many, no longer an option. With staggering numbers of people accessing content on their mobile phones, mobile is a must. I asked Tania Mulry of DDx Media to spend some time breaking mobile down for us.
Q: Why is mobile marketing so important today?
Admit it. Your mobile phone is a remote control for your life. No other form of media can compare to its power in your life. It is your most personal device, and you almost never share it, unlike TVs, radios, newspapers, magazines and computers. Your mobile phone is always on, always with you and most likely, you even sleep next to it!
According to Wireless Intelligence, there are over 6.4 billion mobile connected devices in the world as of this writing. Considering the world population just crossed 7 billion, that's pretty amazing! A survey conducted by the Cellular Telephone Industry Association (CTIA) determined that 92 percent of Americans simply do not leave the house without their cell phones.

BE A WELL-OILED, CONSISTENT, VIDEO CONTENT MACHINE - Video Marketing

BE A WELL-OILED, CONSISTENT, VIDEO CONTENT MACHINE

In the chart below we see a clear
correlation between the number of videos produced and
the total amount of views that these videos
received.
Top brands understand that consistent
and frequent content production leads to increased
views on YouTube videos and channels. This claim
is further supported by analyzing the top performing
quartile of the Top 100 Global Brands against the
bottom quartile. In the chart to the right it is clear
that themost successful channels have 50% more videos
than the least successful channels

Major Report
Findings from
pixability / August: 2013

Successful Practices for YouTube Marketing Success

1. Be a well-oiled, consistent, video content machine
The most successful brands have 50% more videos per channel compared to the
least successful ones.
The best-performing brands publish high volumes of content on a regular schedule.
Top aggregate brands publish approximately 78 videos per month. Leading media
brands produce even more: close to 500 videos per month.

2. Take video optimization and YouTube channel architecture seriously
YouTube is the 2nd largest search engine, so discoverability is key.
YouTube SEO follows very different rules than traditional SEO.
Within traditional SEO—Google prioritizes web pages with YouTube video embeds.
The best performing 25% of Top 100 Global Brands took more care in optimizing
their videos and channels, maintaining twice the number of playlists and video tags
than the bottom 25%.

3. Don’t get caught in the overproduction trap; lesser quality video works well, too
The best YouTube marketers produce a broader range of video content.
Videos do not need to be prime-time quality because those with lower production value
can be just as effective.

4. Apply an “Always On” strategy to video marketing
The most successful brand marketers on YouTube integrate their online video
strategies with their traditional, offline marketing strategies.
Successful video marketers don’t hesitate to produce video series for very limited, but
highly engaged audiences, such as event participants.
17 of the Top 100 Global Brands use less than 50% of their channels.
Continued advertising results in sustainable channel growth and subscribers.

5. Apply branding consistently, intelligently and methodically
The top performers consistently brand their videos in both the video content itself as
well as in metadata, which includes titles, tags, and descriptions.
An appropriate level of branding within videos is essential because successful
YouTube videos are often used outside of the context of a branded YouTube channel,
such as website embedding.
Over-branding may limit sharing within independent communities of interest.

6. Adding more content is more important than adding more channels
37% of all channels have not been updated with fresh content for over 120 days.
Successful marketers have YouTube channels that clearly focus on specific target
audiences.

7. Engage your community with social media
Facebook and Twitter are among the most important sources of traffic on YouTube
within the Top 100 Global Brands.
Users frequently share videos on social networks, and video content is attractive for
sharing.

8.The top 25% of brands had significantly higher social sharing of video than the
bottom 25%.

Viewer sentiment is starting to show distinct trends by industry. Home and luxury
segments have the highest sentiment, while financial services and consumer goods
have the lowest.

How to use the Internet to increase Local Traffic - Online Business Search

Video Marketing Strategy 2013 | Increase Your Video Traffic Formula

By now you probably should have your own YouTube Channel, making videos consistently and increasing your revenue as a YouTube star right? Not exactly how you think YouTube marketing with videos actually is. In this post I am going to share a video marketing strategy in 2013 that will clean up your old and new videos.

One of the challenges I faced before getting noticed on YouTube as a partner was how to get targeted traffic. Some of you making videos and putting up whatever you want or feel like talking about is not helping you get results. Your basically shooting blanks against a red bulls eye target and its a waste of time. It’s not your fault as I use to do the same thing until I took the time to study and learn the formula of generating leads with video marketing.

I am sure you noticed by now through internet marketing that video is powerful. Through creating videos of information that holds value to share with your viewers is what converts a op-tin to a lead. But, some network marketers who are new to video marketing end up failing to understand how to record videos and don’t follow the formula.

Let’s start with the #1 video marketing platform YouTube is where the majority of video marketing traffic is coming from so if you put your focus into the video you are creating for that audience you are going to start attracting the right quality type of leads.

Here are some facts to know:

  • YouTube is owned by the search engine Google.

  • YouTube is considered the number two search engine right behind Google (people want video answers!)

  • YouTube has it’s own sharing portal to easily share through social networking.

  • Overall average of time spent on watching videos is 15 minutes per day.

  • YouTube mobile gets over 100 million views per day!

  • YouTube is responsible for changing the game with small businesses, network marketing and MLM.

  • Now that we know the facts of why you should be focused on creating more videos here is the formula to follow before uploading your next video.

Video Marketing Strategy 2013 | Formula For Video Marketing

1. Video SEO Optimization ~ Before uploading or pressing the record button on your smart phone or webcam you must first do your “Keyword” research. It makes

sense to keyword video titles based on the most searched keywords people are searching for online in Google. What I use and recommend for beginners is free and

available online a tool known as Google Keyword Tool.

2. Video Has Value ~ Create videos that is content rich with value. No one cares about how much or the facts of your expenses in the production of your product or

service. You want to answer your potential customer or leads questions and provide solutions to their problems. Toss in some bonus tips and strategies so you can

bring in even more value. Consistency and relevancy for video marketing is important, if you skip around and shoot videos at random then your not going to get the

results you want.

3. Video Aftermath ~ Unless you are a hollywood celebrity or singer who is uploading videos and has a enormous following your not going to get noticed. In order for

you to reach the top of Google with your YouTube Channel is to stand out from your competition doing the 3 steps and learning the fundementals of video

marketing.

Video Marketing Strategy 2013 | How To Make A Great Video

1. Plan ahead and write your script out for informational videos but if your ranting no script is needed.

2. Film your video with a white, black or nature outdoor background. Avoid crappy lighting it will come out horrible in your videos.

3. Brand your video.

4. Keep your video under 3 minutes.

5. Include the keyword in the video, in the title, and in the description but don’t have it look spammy let it flow.

6. Avoid long boring titles and headlines.

7. Use a microphone or headset but not webcam audio because it will sound choppy.

8. Give a call to action.

I trust this information will help your Video Marketing Strategy 2013 go to the next level.

See you on the next post, take care.

Web Design Utah - Utah Web Design (801) 657-3577

Web Design Utah - Utah Web Design

The Future is Now

Years ago having a website was optional. Today it's a given. Customers are increasingly using their mobile devices to visit your website. They are more comfortable with the technology and demand more website features.

85% of mobile phones sold in 2011 were web enabled.*

Many of these web-enabled phones render the full website on their small screen. Users zoom in and out to read portions of the web page. While it's an impressive solution from the manufacturers' point of view, for the customers it can be a frustrating experience. They have to resize the site to read different sections, and can have a hard time using small buttons that are intended for interaction with a mouse rather than for a finger on a touchscreen.

25% of web users are mobile only*

It's now possible to easily address these frustrating user interface issues thanks to advances in the field of website design. While in the past it was necessary to have a separate mobile version of the site, it's now easy to maintain one site that serves many needs. The solution is a responsive website.

What is a responsive website?

A responsive website changes its appearance and layout based on the size of the screen the website is displayed on. Responsive sites can be designed to make the text on the page larger and easier to read on smaller screens. They can also be configured to make the buttons on the phone's screen easier to press. More sophisticated ways of using responsive design on a mobile device include: formatting the website to hide or present entirely different information, radically changing the graphics and colors, or even reducing the site to emphasize just its most important piece.

Responsive websites aren't a costly investment.

In many cases an existing website can be upgraded. Call today Call (801) 657-3577

If it has been more than 2 years since you refreshed your website, it's time to start thinking about an overhaul. Content Management Systems are much more robust than they were several years ago, and provide many new features for you and your users. Content Management Systems also empower you to make changes to the site's content without extensive knowledge of HTML. In addition, some older features are becoming outdated. If your site uses Flash, many phones don't currently support it, meaning that customers won't be able to see your content. Adobe, the manufacturer of the Flash platform just laid off 750 employees and is shuttering one of their divisions responsible for the development of Flash for mobile devices.

It's time to make your site ready for mobile users, give us a call today!

Mobile Web Design Utah - Mobile Websites for your Business

Mobile Web Design Utah - Mobile Websites for your Business

FAQ for your Mobile Websites

What is the difference between a regular site and a mobile optimized site?

A regular website is usually designed for viewing on a desktop computer. When
viewed on a smaller mobile device, the user experience isn't that great as certain
elements from the site might not appear or may not function optimally. Mobileoptimized sites solve this problem by creating a version of the website that
specifically designed to look great on all mobile phones. In addition, mobile
websites may also include features that take advantage of the advanced
capabilities of a mobile phone such as a click-to-call button that, when clicked,
places a call.

What are the benefits of having a mobile optimized site?

The main benefit of a mobile optimized site is providing a great overall website
experience to your mobile users. With over 70 million Americans and 58 million
Europeans browsing websites from their phone every month, it has become a
necessity to provide a quality mobile experience and provide quick access to
information about your business. A mobile optimized site also helps convert
mobile traffic to customers by using special mobile website features like Click-toCall and Mobile Maps with Directions.

Which mobile devices are supported?

All mobile devices with an HTML-enabled browser that supports CSS and
JavaScript are supported. This includes the iPhone, Android phones, some
Blackberry devices, and Windows mobile
How do people find my mobile website?
When a user types in the URL of your regular website on their phone, they will be
automatically redirected to your mobile site.

What’s the difference between a mobile app and a mobile website?

A mobile app is a native software application that can be downloaded and
installed on the user’s smartphone. Mobile apps can include some interesting
features, such as push notifications.
A mobile website is a smartphone-friendly version of your website. The mobile
site will have large easy to tap button, and content that is formatted to fit correctly
on a mobile screen. This way your customers don’t have to pinch and zoom to
find what they’re looking for. This website will display automatically when someone tries to access your site from a smartphone. No downloads necessary.

Which is better, a mobile app or a mobile website?

A mobile app can be an interesting marketing solution, as they can have
additional functionality that mobile websites do not, but they are typically more
expensive and they do not negate the need for a mobile friendly website.
Customers looking for business information from a mobile phone want quick
access to the business hours, phone number, and location. If they can't easily
find that from the mobile website, they'll move on to the next one. A mobile
website instantly connects your customers with the information they are looking
for. The majority of mobile searches for local businesses are from consumers
who are looking to buy immediately. If you're searching for Chinese food from
your mobile phone, you're probably looking to order Chinese food.
Mobile apps must be downloaded and installed, which is an extra step that most
potential customers just won't take when they're casually browsing businesses or
just looking for quick info on the go.
Native apps are mostly useful for existing customers, who already know and like
your brand enough to want to install the app on their phone. The app provides
the ability for returning customers to view specials, push notifications, and
company info, but it isn't useful for the casual new customer who isn't familiar
with your business. If a company creates a mobile app, they should still have a
mobile friendly website. Besides, they're usually much cheaper.

Is there some sort of hosting or maintenance fee?
Yes, the monthly fee is $150 per year. This includes the mobile hosting, and mobile updates, ensuring your customers constantly have the best experience.
